What’s included in the price?

  • Our prices are kept low by tailoring what you want and getting rid of the services you dont.

How to get there?

  • Travel to/from your designated arrival point is not included in the price and has to be booked by you. If arriving by plane, we will delegate an airport for arrival and departure.
  • If you have any questions regarding flights prior to booking your trip please feel free to contact us.

Are Airport Transfers included?

  • Airport transfers for you and your bike can be added to your trip at an additional cost

What if I have to change or cancel my trip?

  • Should you or any member of your group be forced to cancel your booking, we must receive notice by email from the person making the original booking. The following cancellation charges will apply and take effect from when the notice of cancellation is received. The charges are expressed as a percentage of payment received excluding the deposit which is non refundable.

  • 2-0 weeks 100%

Do I need travel insurance?

  • Chill Alp insist on travel insurance for yourself and equipment. Cycling on open alpine roads can be dangerous. In the event of medical support, lost baggage or if you need to cancel your trip, insurance is essential. Please ensure your insurance covers you for cycling in Europe. In addition it is recommended that EU Nationals hold an EHIC card for reciprocal health care provision within the EU.
  • Chill Alp and their employee’s are not responsible for thief, loss or damage to any personal belonging and you are required to have adequate insure to cover this

How big are the groups?

  • We can cater for any size groups, there maybe a minimum price so its always more economical for group of 4 plus. Contact us for details and we can talk through your options.

What kind of shape do I need to be in?

  • You do not need to be a professional athlete to enjoy a cycling holiday but you will need to be in reasonably good shape. A Chill Alp cycling holidays are designed to be a challenging but rewarding experience for any cyclist. Its important during the planning phase you are comfortable with the daily mileage (including climbs) and ride times of between 4-6 hours will get you through the mountains. If you are unsure or have not ridden in the high mountains before please feel free to contact us for advice.

What do I need to bring?

  • Your bike, ensuring it is in good mechanical working order. We advise that you have your bike serviced before you arrive particularly good tires and brakes. If you wish to hire a bike for the trip then get in touch and we are happy to contact a local shop and assist in hire. Just bring your pedals!!
  • Your cycle helmet, that we advise you to wear at all times while on the bike.
  • Cycle clothing for both summer and winter conditions: especially warm gloves, over shoes and a waterproof jacket. We will provided you with a kit list once we have confirmation of your booking.
  • High mountain weather can be very changeable, its very important that you have a spare set of clothing packed into your day bag (55x40x20cm) that can be stored in our support car should you need it.

How do I Book?

  • Complete our booking form online. If you make a reservations more than 8 weeks prior to the trip a £100.00pp deposit (non refundable) is required to confirm your booking. If you reserve your trip less than 8 weeks prior to the departure, the full balance is due at the time of booking.
